I think that in any portrait, the part that’s going to make it or break it are the eyes.

The person is there, their character, their story, their feeling, who they are.

So if the eyes aren’t right, nothing is going to be.

When painting a portrait, digital or otherwise, I return to the eyes over and over again. They are often one of the first things I draw *and* the last.
